Haven't posted here in a very long time since things changed with my home situation. Still getting used to life in this place and there has been a lot going on. Late in 2018, I got together with someone and I've been spending most of my time with her, so I haven't really had time outside of our shared interests to do much of anything, including updating this site. Not much going on anyway, but I will be taking a trip to see her soon. On top of that, I will be adding a new section to the nav section because I am updating, albiet a little slowly, my old SNES Music Creation Guide. A prominent figure of the SNES tracking community contacted me not too long ago and asked if they could contribute information, so I will be integrating that information with the one I was going to provide, plus some updated information, tools, links, etc.
Life has been rough. Since we moved, it's been a rollercoaster ride of not sure what's going to happen, but we pull through so we can keep going each day. Still, it could be worse and we're just grateful it isn't. With my mothers continued decline in health, I am more adamant to make sure she is taken care of before I move on with life, but I still intend on making sure she's okay once I leave. Finacial trouble hit us not too long ago, but with it finally being resolved, I can breathe a slight sigh of relief. We struggled there for a while and we're going to be recovering from the aftermath of it, but it's going to be okay and that's what matters.
I can't say for sure if I'll keep this site updated, but I will try my hardest not to let it completely die like my old ones, even if no one reads any of this.
It's been quite some time since I updated, but that was because I could not. My website had to be taken down because I was homeless and my server was home-hosted. While I did have a connection that allowed me to be on the web, I could not hook up my server to said modem/router because it did not belong to me nor could I set it up. Regardless, I have finally returned and so has this website. As such, I will continue with projects I left dormant during that time away, such as the RPG Maker XP Music Remastered project and a few other things I started during my time away. For the time being, though, it's good to be back and I need to rest what with all the moving I had to do. My pride got the best of me and I basically did most of the work myself with my sisters boyfriend helping when I asked. So, naturally, it took a toll on my body, so I need some time to recover. As soon as I do, though, it's back to business as usual. I have some things I want to make, such as the music project, my own music pack for the RPG Maker series and outside of it, a paid sampler library for users of Kontakt 5 (full version) or SFZ that will be custom SNES samples, which will be formatted for proper use in actual SNES conversion software to make game music or other things. Might even do some others. They'll be cheap, too, so that anyone can afford them.
That is only the start of it, but I guess we'll see where I land. I might commission someone that is good at scripting in JS to make some plugins for me for a project I have in the works. I guess we'll see how it turns out. In the meantime, time to rest, so thanks for coming back and checking on me and have a wonderful evening!
A new year, a new me, in a way. I'm sorry for being away and not updating this website for a while, but nothing has truly happened that was major. I've also been dealing with various things in my life that needed addressing, but everyone has problems, right? Anyway, I have restarted my old XP Remastered project that I mentioned and showcased at RPG Maker Web and will be posting updates here exclusively, while mentioning it on there as well. The quality, I believe, is much higher than it was previously, so the failure of those hard drives two years ago, for those that know, was a bit of a blessing in disguise. Also working on yet another game project on the side, but not as actively so I can focus on this more than anything else. For the previews of the project, go to the Music page and check it out.
Still, unlike what I said before, I actually will try to keep this place updated. I don't want this site to rot like I have my previous attempts. Even if nothing is going on, I'll post something to ensure it's updated, and I'll even try to make a mobile version to make it easier to navigate and read. With that, have a great day and will update this page again when I have more to say!
Sorry for the very, VERY long break from any news. Things have been quite hectic with real life and other matters. I have not been doing anything of any real substance either, but I did upgrade my PC to finally have 16GB of RAM for music creation and have been playing around with other things. In the coming months, I hope to get back into learning C#, more PHP and even going back to my roots with HTML/CSS to learn all the new things about it, even though I code this site completely in HTML/CSS via Notepad++. Regardless, things have been complicated for me recently, so I haven't been paying attention to this site like I should have, but I will do better about that. I don't have anything to show today, but hopefully very soon in terms of music and some other things I have planned. All games I have been working on have been postponed due to time constraints, but as soon as I get some traction on them, I will work on them again. I will do my best not to abandon them like I have so many before.
When I have more, and better, news, I shall post again. Talk to you soon, everyone!
This site has been quiet for some time and I am sorry for that, but not much has happened. However, I did exchange my keyboard from Wal-Mart, which was showing heavy wear after less than two week fo use, with one from Rosewill with much better build quality for the same price, looks better, feels better and came with a mouse for free and was the same price as just the keyboard from Wal-Mart. It has been serving me very well so far and I love it. On that note, I will probably be getting back to music for two things. Working on the RPG Maker XP music I said I would do a long time ago, if for no other reason than to just finish them and the second will be a suite for Super Adventure Box music from Guild Wars 2. I love it, so I figured I'd take what's in my head and turn it into something others can listen to and enjoy. I was working on a Super Nintendo rendition of the music, but that is on hiatus until I have some new samples to work with.
On another note, the solar eclipse that came and went was less than "stellar" (I don't apologize for that), but it was still a great sight to see. I can't wait to see the next one and hopefully catch a glimpse at a total solar eclipse. Still, this was pretty special. On that note, it's time I stopped for now, but I hope to post something nice soon in terms of music, so here's hoping!
