Having ordered most of my PC parts, my build is almost complete. I just need to wait until next month when I am able to order the final two things I need, my Solid State Drive and Windows 10 Home and I'll be set. Now, before I continue, I have a problem with Windows 10. It's a spying piece of garbage, however, there is virtually no support for my CPU on Windows 7 anymore. I don't count Windows 8.1 as I never liked the interface on it nor the direction they went with it, but when you are paying Microsoft to effectively spy on you with Windows 10, that, to me, is crossing a line. However, some programs I need run on Windows 10 thus in order to use them, I have no choice. And, literally, for one such program, I really don't have an alternative seeing as it can only work on Windows or Mac and I've never really been a fan of Apple. Just ask people I know.
With that in mind, I plan to rip out all the parts of Windows 10 that spy on me, the user, while still making sure it's a legitimate copy. Either way, I have elementary OS, a very elegant and beautifully fast Linux distribution that I've grown rather fond of. If you are a savvy PC person, this is what I'm getting as a budget gaming/audio rig:
The time is near and I'll finally be able to join the more modern ranks of PC gamers and users in general. I guess we'll have to wait and see!
It's not everyday that you come across something so stupid that you just have to call upon your fellow human beings to wonder what they were thinking. An incident last night occured where the word covfefe is now being spoken and posted by many, including myself. It shows what kind of person was elected to the most powerful position in the world and it makes me sad. Now, I'm not about to go on a tyrade about him, but I can say that some people need to disconnect from the internet every once in a while and some need to just disconnect permanently. Do with that information what you will.
Anyway, progress on Tale of Heroes, my latest project, while a little slowed down, is actually moving along. Because it is short, I don't have much to do, but it will have a, hopefully, decent yet cliche jRPG story without the Engrish translation. As usual, I have to use bundled assests for now since I can't afford to have a pixel artist that can make custom sprites, enemies and tiles. If I could, game would be much nicer. Still, this is just for fun. I can't give a release date on it, but it will be playable on the browser, Windows and Linux. Will probably do an Android release for those that have their phones or tablets rooted since the only other way to make it available would be to put it up on the store and I don't feel like going through that headache unless I was going to sell it.
Either way, game will be out as soon as I can get it done, which shouldn't be that long. My problem before was trying to make something that was very long and drawn out without a team of people. Plus, not having the experience of actually finishing a game. Hopefully this will start me on that path. Check back later for more info! Also, recheck the about page for contact details I forgot to put in.
Lately I've been working on an jRPG-styled game in RPG Maker MV and it's coming out quite nicely. It will be really short, not as short as the previous demo I released, but it'll be a short game by comparison of other standard jRPGs out there. The story is simple and cliche, the usual for any jRPG, but one nice feature is the ability to have a male or female lead based on your decision. You can even pick the name of the other party members that join you soon after you start the game.
There sin't much to the story and what little there is won't be posted until the game is released. I originally intended it so be a demo that would never go beyond a certain point, but this is a fleshed out game, even if really short. There is an end-boss, but you won't have to be grinding for hours upon hours to get the max level. Play the game, when it's ready, and see what I mean. Either way, when it's released, I will publish the information for it here and on Facebook. Will post the minimum system requirements for it once it's released. Just know that if you have a modern PC, you should be fine. There will be three versions. One for Windows, one for Linux and one for browsers. The browser version will have some things disabled or removed so that it can run properly in the browser without much lag. If you're running either of these two OS's, pick a package and enjoy! They will be labeled appropriately.
If you want to know a tiny bit more or check out the demo, stop off at the games section and check them both out. Have a great night everyone!
Welcome to my site! I'm djDarkX and I've been redesigning my site over and over an over throughout the years. Getting a bit tiresome, but it helps to keep things fresh, I suppose. Hopefully this will be the final iteration of it. Either way, here I'll be posting music I've worked on, games I make or am developing and other information as well as links to sites that have great articles on music creation, game creation and just for gaming.
My current online drug of choice is MMO gaming and I like to stick to one game at a time for a long time. I usually don't bounce from game to game because each one takes up too much time. Either way, if you check the MMO tab, it shows what I'm currently playing and if you play the same game or want to try it out, click on its name, create an account and download the client. All of my characters and my account names are there to contact me in-game if you do indeed join.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my site. Keep an eye out for more information later!
